The game of paintball and skirmish was invented in New Hampshire in 1984, when a group of friends got together for a party. As the party got underway, the friends decided to settle the ongoing debate… who would survive out in the woods the longest?
As their conversation continued, they came up with the idea of using agriculture paint guns to eliminate each other and try to remain the “last surviving man”.
After this friendly bet, word of mouth spread, and the game evolved into the sport “Paintball” as it is known today. Who would have imagined that what began as a friendly wager would progress to a $500 million dollar per year industry?
Skirmish USA was one of the first paintball and skirmish fields in the country to open in 1984 and has grown considerably over the years. They have over 48 award-winning playing fields, a tournament complex, including air fields, hundreds of employees and are continually voted to be one of the best paintball fields in the USA!
